I am Ulrike. But mostly just Rike or Riki. I am a certified Hatha Yoga teacher based on the Pranayoga Method® and mother of Clara. I love the ocean, nature, social justice and everything that makes the world a better place.
I first got in contact with Yoga through the physical body. On a sunny rooftop in Marocco. Having practiced all sorts of sports for almost all my life I instantly loved the physical aspect of it. Far away from competing with yourself and others I deepened my own practice in various different schools and classes throughout the years. I then decided to fully immers myself into the world of yoga through a 3-year Hatha Yoga teacher training in the Pranayoga MethodⓇ in Berlin in 2015.
There I learned that Yoga is so much more than just physical exercise. It is ancient philosophy in a constant flux, body work, meditation... A practice that builds a lot of bridges, connecting body, mind and breath. It gives me the time to reflect, to be with myself.
However, yoga is not just a construct that ends on the mat. For me it also means integrating what has been learned, finding strength for everyday life, being active in and for the world around us.
Yoga for me has the power to transform, opening up spaces for introspection and connecting you to youe inner self. Without dogma, predefined feelings or experiences.
The quieter you become the more you can hear!
